Student – Sarah A.

I am a young Sudanese girl called Sarah A. aged seven years. I was born to my loving parents in Kakuma Refugee Camp (Kenya). My parents names are Rev. Peter Garang D. and Mary Achol M. I am the first born child of my parents.
Having been born in a refugee camp I have experienced many challenges for example hunger, lack of medication and insecurity.
My dad has been very prayful and hopeful and he always promised us that our life will change in the long run. Luckily, God answered his prayers and he was sponsored by an organization called Hope with Sudan, Father Jerry Drino is the one in charge.
My dad was taken to University and he undertook a course of Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology studies in Pan Africa Christian University. My father became a well known qualified pastor. The Hope with Sudan also took the trouble of taking care of us; I am now Standard one in school. I am so glad for the Hope with Sudan for giving me hope for a better future. Thanks a lot to all members of Hope with Sudan.
I am a bright child and I am not blowing my own trumpet, I scored a mean grade of A. My teachers and parents were very grateful and they hoped that I would maintain the same spirit come the next class, but unfortunately, I was not able to attend the next class due to lack of school fees. I am here by requesting for a donor who will take me and assist me to continue with my education in the coming term which will be September, 2009.
