Our Students
There are only a handful of primary schools in southern Sudan to assist about 3 percent of the population. There are next to no secondary schools with the notable exception of the New Sudanese Education Initiative new academy now open in Yei and the soon-to-be opened academy in Malek, (see link on our Learn More page).
These students are fellow Episcopalians and Catholics. Hope With Sudan strives to strengthen communities where exiled Sudanese live, bringing them the medical care and education they need to thrive.

I am a Sudanese boy by Nationality named: Peter Nyuon, Dinka Bor by tribe. It was in the mid night in 2000 when the Arabs militia troops came and invaded our village killing many people, burning houses. By that time I was 4 years old. In the process of the attacks my father was killed with other men and I with my mother flee to forest and hide ourselves for three days without drinking water, we also used to feed on wild fruits, tree roots with other siblings who hide themselves with us, in these three days many children/adults were poisoned by roots of tree. Now, I am currently attending Roysambo Primary School and I am in class 5 this year.

My name is Mary Lueth and I am fifteen years old. When my father and I were in Uganda life was very hard because we had no food, water and clothes so we had to struggle to look for both of them. As we were continuing with our lives some of the people that were living with us they were shot down dead and we had to move from that place to another. I am learning in “A.G.C lake view academy.” My best subjects in school are English and C.R.E. When I grow up, I would like to be a Broadcaster.
